In this game the child has to spot incoming cones and potholes and steer left and right at the right moment, all at the same time, which trains visual attention and quick reflexes together. The road winds, so the movement on screen also has to be predicted a little in advance. Collecting headphones to fill the trick bar adds the patience of saving up and waiting for the right moment on top of instant reactions — firing TRICK when it is really needed, not straight after the bar fills, is a small but useful exercise in impulse control.
